Detection to Neutralization
01
Detect
Litech’s sensors identify hidden nitrous oxide cylinders before they cause harm.

02
Prevent & Divert
Real-time alerts stop fires and explosions early. The detected cylinders are safely removed from the waste stream for further neutralization.

03
Neutralize
Medclair’s technology neutralizes nitrous oxide safely, turning emissions into harmless oxygen and nitrogen.

Together, we’re building more than just safer waste facilities — we’re creating a system where every detection leads to prevention, and every prevention makes recycling possible.
Built for the future of
waste management

Discover how MIS technology and AI work together to detect and separate hazardous materials : protecting people, equipment, and resources across the waste stream.
OUR MISSION & VISION
Preventing fires, protecting materials: our vision and mission
Our story
Litech is a sensor technology company based in Norway, working out of StartupLab. One of the country’s leading innovation hubs. We're on a mission to make waste facilities safer by giving them something they’ve never had before: real-time insight into hidden dangers in their waste streams. Our technology is already being used to detect nitrous oxide (laughing gas) canisters.
"Fire prevention is better than fire response. By making prevention simple, we can stop dangerous fires and explosions before they happen."
— Synne Sauar, CEO of Litech
Vision
Litech’s vision is to build a future where fire prevention is integrated into infrastructure from the start. By detecting hazardous items early, we make waste processing safer and more predictable. This enables facilities to operate continuously, protect valuable material flows, and avoid unnecessary destruction of resources. Ultimately, Litech aims to help shift waste management from risk mitigation to true circularity, where more materials can be safely recovered, reused, and kept in circulation instead of being lost to fires, explosions, or shutdowns.
